The Grow Your Own compilation was reviewed on Pepsi Live on Sat 8th Dec & Sunday 9th Dec and we got a bit of a mention!

A.K.A will be spending the next couple of months writing new songs so you may or may not be pleased to hear that we won't be playing any shows for a while!

Thanks to everyone that bought a cd, came to a show or downloaded an mp3 over 2001! We'll see you again next year.

The 'Grow Your Own 6' compilation was released last Tuesday night at the new Roma Bar in the Metro on George St. Marty Batfink from Triple J was on-hand to announce each track from the cd and a good night was had by all. So now it's out, make sure you go and grab yourself a copy at Fish Records, Sandy's @ Dee Why, Redeye, Castle Records, Mall Music, Street Sounds & CD Warehouse. You can also grab a copy at Foghorn Records Online or at any of the up and coming showcases.

A.K.A's latest song 'Fe-mail' has been selected to appear on the Foghorn Records 'Grow Your Own' compilation for 2001. Last years compilation featured the Triple J unearthed winning song 'Nothing Really Matters' by the Sick Puppies. The cd will be in stores in November and there'll be plenty of showcases to promote the compilation as well as airplay on Triple J!

The CD launch for A.K.A's first independent release, 'The Good Life' was a great success. Over 30 copies of the cd were sold on the night. Not too bad considering they only got their hands on them the day of the show!!!
